A small tool for an everyday task
An iPhone photo is not always accepted by a form, an older app, or the person you want to share it with. PicConv makes a JPG copy while leaving your original file unchanged. Keep the original for editing or archiving.
What the converter makes
- A JPG at the original image dimensions, encoded with a 90% quality setting. JPG uses lossy compression; the output is not identical to the original.
- JPG photos are accepted too, including JPG copies provided by an iPhone photo library. They are re-encoded with the same quality setting, which can add compression loss.
- The original GPS location, camera details, and capture date are not copied to the JPG. The browser may add basic information such as dimensions and color space.
- A ZIP containing only the photos that converted successfully, with no additional compression of the JPGs.

Size limits use 1 MB = 1,048,576 bytes. Larger photos may need more memory than your device has available. If a batch fails, try fewer or smaller photos.
HDR and wide-gamut colors may change. For HEIF files with multiple images, the converter uses the primary image selected by the decoder. Live Photo motion is not preserved.
How the site handles data
Photo conversion happens in your browser. Cloudflare delivers and protects the website, processes connection information, and provides page-visit and performance statistics through Web Analytics. The current site has no advertising scripts.
