What is a HEIC file?

HEIC is an image format commonly used by iPhones. JPG works with more websites and apps, making it useful for sharing and uploading.

Will my photo look exactly the same?

The converter keeps the photo’s dimensions and uses 90% JPG quality. JPG is a lossy format, so the file is not identical to the original. HDR and wide-gamut colors may look different.

Where does my photo go?

It stays in this browser tab until you download it or clear it. This version has no photo upload endpoint, advertising scripts, or analytics. The site and converter code are downloaded from the host.

Does the JPG keep location and camera information?

This converter creates a new JPG from the image pixels. It does not copy the original GPS, camera, or capture-date metadata. The browser may add basic image information, such as dimensions and color space. Keep the original if you need its capture information.

What if a photo fails or I cancel?

A failed photo does not stop the rest. If you cancel, completed JPGs remain available to download individually or as a ZIP. Results stop accumulating at 50 MB; split larger jobs into smaller batches.
